The Lucas Farm Wedding Venue, Currie, NC

There is something so special about wedding at The Lucas Farm…the wide open fields, wrap around porch, amazing owners, and southern charm bring a peaceful kind of magic to the day.

If I could dream up the perfect wedding day, and how it would all play out, IT WOULD BE ABBY + CONNERS!!!!

These two are the kind of people who make everyone feel like family from the first moment you meet them. From the moment they had their first touch on the porch, to the last moments with their friends and family dancing through bubbles to get to their get-a-way car, their joy was so contagious.

Our morning started off with lots of rain, but just before the ceremony the skies cleared and gave us the most beautiful weather for their “I DO’S”. Abby + Conner decided to do a first touch, and it was such a sweet moment full of anticipation and emotion of what was to come!

Abby also shared a first look with her dad, that COMPLETLEY stole the show!!It was hands-down one of the most emotional and beautiful father-daughter moments I have had the honor of photographing. Then followed a first look with her bridesmaids, and can I just say I love this trend? It is so fun being able to see all of her best girl’s reaction to something they have been waiting so long to see!!

It’s rare that a wedding day stays on time with the timeline created, which is totally normal!!!! But Abby + Conners wedding was such a breeze, nothing got behind, they had extra time for relaxing before walking down the aisle, and hanging with their favorite friends before the party started! It was such a breath of fresh air!!!

At the end of their evening they shared a private last dance, and ended with a bubble exit before getting in their get-a-way-car to go to PUNTA CANA!!!!! How fun!!

The Lucas Farm is one of those venues that does it all: it offers rustic charm without feeling overly “country”, and the space has a way of making intimate weddings feel big and heartfelt. Also if you are looking for a venue with AMAZING owners, this is your spot!!!
