Megan + Michaels Historical Home Wedding

There are some wedding days that feel like you’ve stepped right out of a fairytale, and Megan + Michael’s wedding was absolutely one of them! From the moment we arrived, the peaceful charm of this countryside venue set the stage for the best day filled with love, so much laughter and the sweetest unforgettable memories.
I would be rich if I had a quarter for every time I told Megan “ I just wish I could clone your whole day to re-do over and over again” because it truly was just a dream!
The whole day we had the most perfect weather, which, for late summer in NC that’s rare! This was the first time I have had the honor of photographing at this venue since it was bought out by a new owner, and what they did to it was just beautiful! Heritage Point is tucked away in the quiet beauty of Richlands, North Carolina, and it’s the perfect blend of rustic elegance and modern convenience. With wide open fields, beautiful historic elements, and so much natural light, it gave us endless opportunities for stunning portraits!
It’s VERY rare when wedding timelines stay on schedule, and Megan + Michaels did just that! It truly makes for such a seamless day when weddings flow according to plan. From the moment Megan had brunch with her girls, to the moment the danced through sparklers to say goodbye to all of their best friends, everything flowed so easily!
Megan + Michale decided to share a first look under the big trees in front of the historical home, and they did not disappoint! When they saw each other for the first time privately, their looks said everything words couldn’t. They shared their vows with nothing but peace surrounding them, the birds chirping in the trees, and the wind blowing through her veil.
I truly LOVE when my couples share a first look, it just has so many benefits on a wedding day! I have a whole blog post about this :)
They ended their evening dancing the night away with all of their favorite friends. Dancing. Laughing. And dancing some more. The atsmosphere was so inviting that even the catering staff jumped on the dance floor and showed some moves!!! It truly was one of the best days ever.
Megan + Michael shared a private last dance, just the two of them before they made their way through the sparkler tunnel to say bye to their friends and their wedding day…and HELLO to the rest of their lives!!
