A Small Town Park Engagement Session
What do you say, when you have so much to say? Danielle is such a dear friend of mine and we have known each other forever! To finally see Danielle + Steven’s faces in front of my camera as an ENAGAGED couple just made my heart so happy! They truly are a dream together - and would you believe me if I said that they are getting married in 4 DAYS?!?!
IT’S TRUE!!!!! This past weekend we did their engagement session, and this coming up weekend they are tying the knot! They officially win the award for being able to successfully do EVERYTHING last minute haha!
I love every single one of my Sam Wynn bride + grooms, but there is something so special about old friends becoming Sam Wynn couples! Something like a full circle moment maybe? Almost like “I was supposed to meet you back then, to be here for you now”….kinda thing. I just love watching God weave all of these people into my life purposefully.
To know Danielle is to know so much peace and happiness. She truly is the definition of joy, and being around her you can just feel her soft, easy-going spirit. SO easy-going that we had planned her engagement session for weeks, and life kept happening, and it got rescheduled 3 or 4 times, and eventually she was 100% fine with not even having an engagement session! Like, NO MA’AM! She is so deserving, that we made time to make it happen, even if it was days before they got married :)
Steven suggested this new part of town to do their photos at, a part that I didn’t even know existed honestly! So, he won groom of the year for suggesting such a great area! In the little town we live in there is a lake, and the lake had a dam that busted many years ago, and the lake sat empty for so long. They finally fixed the dam and refilled the lake, and they took pieces of the old dam and made a small park next to the lake in a little hidden area off the road, that you wouldn’t know about unless someone told you, or you read about in the paper! It turned out to be such a hidden gem, and a BEAUTIFUL spot for photos!
We had such a great evening catching up, talking about all things life and wedding planning. These two made my job so easy, and I can’t wait to see them in front of my camera again in a few days in wedding attire!
