Can you find the bride and groom in the photo above? As soon as I shot this photo I instantly knew it was going to be at the top of the blog post!!!

Do you ever just have so much to say that you don’t even know where to start? Yeah? That’s me with this wedding day!!!!! This has truly been a long time coming! One of my favorite parts of wedding photography is when I get to photograph a family more than once. I had the honor of photographing Caitlin’s sister’s wedding years ago, and now it was her turn to step into this season of getting married! Getting to see her family again really was like catching up with old friends! I already knew the people, the family dynamic, the personalities, and the love that makes her family special.

I know I probably say this about a lot of weddings, but it’s true. There really are some wedding days that just have the perfect mix of everything. Where things might not have went according to plan, but it was exactly how God had it planned out all along.

Caitlin + Jesse’s wedding day had the sweetest, unexpected turns all day. What started off as a simple morning ended with Caitlin + Jesse doing an unexpected first touch and reading their vows to one another just because she couldn’t wait and wanted to hear Jesse’s voice. Then a sunny day very quickly turned into a downpour right after the ceremony but cleared up right before bride and groom portraits.

SEE? It was the best mix of all the things happening at just the right times. :)

ALSO, I feel like this should be noted because they actually set a record for me for: THE FASTEST CEREMONY EVER. Literally. I went back and looked at the time stamps on the photos, and it was 3 MINUTES LONG!!!! And Coby and I felt all 3 of those minutes trying to get her as many photos as possible! Hahaha!!

But in all honesty, it was perfect for them! She didn’t want to spend a long time standing up front when she could be celebrating with the people she loved most. She just wanted to marry her best friend and go celebrate! And really there is something really sweet about that…knowing exactly what matters to you on your wedding day and living it out!

Days like this are such a reminder of why I love my job so much. It wasn’t about having the longest ceremony or following every little detail of the timeline…it was about marrying her favorite person and getting to celebrate with the people who mean the most to them. And getting to photograph another wedding for a family I already know and love made it all the more special. I’ll never get tired of being invited back for these moments!!
